Now in semi-retirement, Dr. Granville, DVM, runs a mobile veterinary service to provide quality services to the community at affordable prices. He was previously in private practice for over 40 years. A graduate of Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Granville believes that eastern (holistic) and western approaches to veterinary medicine can work in tandem for maximum wellness and comfort.
There are a number of reasons why folks may want to consider a home visit.
First, multiple animals can be seen at the same time and for the same flat home visit fee. A good savings and often a huge time saver for pet owners.
Second, it is wonderful when we can reduce or eliminate the anxiety our pets sometimes experience when visiting a traditional clinic. Often times, noise, odors, and the car ride itself can initiate feelings of unease and discomfort.
Lastly, home visits allow Dr. Granville to interact more naturally with your pet(s) to provide more accurate insight into pain management, behavioral, dietary, or end of life issues. Sometimes the smallest of adjustments can make the largest of impacts.
The phrase "prevention is everything" can't be understated. We offer vaccinations against Lyme, distemper, and feline leukemia as well as the means to treat heartworm and intestinal parasites. Ear cleanings, dental checks, nail trimmings, and checks for the onset of arthritis are also just as important to keep your fur baby happy and healthy.
A number of diagnostic tests are available if your pet is not feeling well. Once we have a diagnosis, we will sit down and review available options. The important thing is to not wait if you feel something is "off" with your pet's behavior and/or eating habits.
